Astrology & Zodiac Signs: What Sign Are You?
by Briana
A famous evil villain once said, “Just introduce yourself and ask what her sign is. And run the other way If she says Sagittarius.” – Dr. Doofenshmirtz. This week’s blog topic is about astrology, specifically focusing on zodiac signs and how they correlate to individuals. Zodiac signs allow for yourself and others to have a better understanding of who you are in terms of the universe. Being born in a specific period has effects on your personality and who you are as a person. For example, Leos are fire signs but not all fire signs are the same. Leos are known to be energetic and being the center of attention, while Aries are known to be stern and determinate. Although there are different types of astrology sign charts, we are going to specifically be focusing on the Babylonians. The Babylonians take place Zodiac signs are based on the time, date, and location when a person is born. The Babylonians zodiac chart is spread out on a 12 month period to where each month has its own specific zodiac and elements of the earth.

Aries (Fire) March 21st – April 20th
Taurus (Earth) April 21st – May 20th
Gemini (Air) May 21st – June 20th
Cancer (Water) June 21st – July 22nd
Leo (Fire) July 23rd – August 22nd

Scorpio (Water) October 23rd – November 22nd
Sagittarius (Fire) November 23rd – December 21st
With the following chart from above given it is showing what your sign is from your date of birth. Now we can get into more detail if you know your time of your birth and the location of your birth. Knowing these two items can tell you on what your rising sun and setting moon are. This is also known as your big three. Rising sun is what you inspire to be, while setting moon is what you personally are. This to me is so interesting because it is personalized for you and only you. It is extremely rare for someone to have the same birthday, location of birth, and time as you. There is a lot more to it, but this is just an introduction.
